James Comey was on Colbert last night and Steven asked him what he thought about Wray not attending the press conference.
Comey said under normal circumstances that would be unusual but he feels that with the fragile relationship between Trump and Wray, if Wray spoke and said something that would tick off Trump, he may be fired. Comey continued that the worst possible thing that could happen right now would be Wray getting fired.
