Not uncommon at all for a Company to file bankruptcy, cant say I've seen news of a short seller filing bankruptcy...if anything, seen news how rich short sellers are.

I personally know someone who put themselves into a similar situation...problem was that it with a "loan shark"...
A short's legal situation with a margin call for their CYDY position is a whole lot better than having to deal with extralegal debt collection....devastating either way...
