Why does a restaurant magnate need to worry about a few hundred bucks to get the real thing?

Now my insurance is switching to Florida Blue and the new monthly rate is now $250 because I refused the "Generic" option

Yeah I don't know about that. $250 (after the $150 coupon) is not an insurance price. That's a price without insurance.

BCBS FL covers VASCEPA... sometimes needs a quick online auth that identifies you as a REDUCE IT patient.

I have also written REDUCE IT DAW1 and no substitutions have happened yet....

How much would the generic V ..off label ...cost you ?

Your post is a classic example of how confusing our systems for heath coverage is .

Why should you be subsidized in any way for an off label script ?
Show me an ICER report detailing the cost / benefit analysis of any "off label "Vascepa program. Right ...theres none ...Theres no savings to the insurer by providing you low cost coverage ...so why should they.

We need low cost coverage for those at highest risk ...R-IT profile , diabetics with prior events.......for example ...an indication that by the way is patent protected .
