HA!

May work for people from other parts of the country. But is hit and miss when they occupy outsourced telephone support lines.

I have a friend who is kind of a dick that has to deal on the phone all the time. Whenever he gets an outsourced foreign accent he blows his stack and demands to speak to "an American"...

I keep asking him if the thought ever crossed his mind that they might actually be an American?

No help. Racist is as racist does.

I'll admit I've had a couple of those calls myself but I try to listen carefully and speak slowly so they slow down too. Hell, there's some young white women I've run across in my time that talk so fast it's hard to understand.

A lot of times I just find myself nodding my head and paraphrasing what I'm listening to.

Yes, their culture affords them to make H2 blockers in bulk, to prevent heartburn for any Westerner who gets carried away in eating curry laden Indian food.

Humph. "Curry" is a cooking technique, not a spice. What some Westerners call "curry powder" is a spice mixture. But while Indians do use a variety of spice mixtures--most don't have all day to cook anymore, or someone to cook for them--there isn't really one they call "curry".

Nowadays, you can get all kinds of Indian spices all over the States now. Since you live in an area where tech stuff is a big thing, I'll be you'd find an Indian grocer within 10 miles of you.
