You make several excellent points. They don't alter the fact that it is improper to denigrate voters by calling them ignorant.
It is incontestable that voters (as a class) do not have all the facts when they vote, but that condition extends to all voters ... including those who call others ignorant. None of them occupy a superior position giving them the right to denigrate others.
