I would look to environmental toxins in the case of your grand parents. Lead pipes, coal dust, etc.

These things are a complex combination of things, genetics, nutrition, environmental toxins, etc.

This is one reason I have a problem with the current screed "COVID DONE IT".


It isn't, and it can't be, that simple.

It would be interesting from a research standpoint, if my parents that didn’t show any signs of ALS, had the telltale mas plaque.

Interesting to see if our body can do some adjustments.

I know because they new well of ALS, while retired my father chopped few chords of wood every year in NH up until he passed.
My mom concerned the most, was in a bridge club and volunteered for the Res Cross, up to her last years,

My grandparents spent later life less active ( like life in today’s lockdown )





Agree, after having 3 of 4 of my grand parents with very advanced stages of Alzheimer’s

I have to note my two parents didn’t show any signs well into their late 80’s before passing
