BCBS is watching their pockets and they found a way to cut cost- if a patient has only high trigs and is not high risk, its cheaper for them to pay for a fenofibrate/ Omega 3 generic. If they flat out said no we're not covering Vascepa, then they could be held liable because there are few other options to reduce CV risk.
