If you’re lucky enough to have this in an IRA account I would suggest converting it to a Roth ASAP

take the hit now and enjoy tax-free on all your gains from this point forward

If you have cash in an IRA but not this stock... buy the stock in your IRA and sell it out of your regular account ...essentially transferring it over to your IRA

and then you can convert it to the Roth
