The only thing the creditor is worried about is wasting debtor money and time on an equity committee.
They don’t give a shit about equity otherwise.
Think about it...if equity had some magic sauce to get a return then the creditors would be saved....so one would think they would support an official EC.
But they know they don’t have any magical powers of valuation...they know it is simply equity fantasy.
