One., right, but how do these geniuses reconcile the fact, that it took Amarin, not "all those who knew all along that EPA didn't raise LDL-C." to produce Vascepa?" Moreover, had these geniuses actually read the briefs, the trial record shows no evidence, but rather strong evidence, for believing that LDL-C in this population would increase due to the understandings of how the MOA works in this population. You can have the best attorneys in the world, but if your audience is disinterested in the truth, I'd bet any lawyer would sound like Singer during the OA, repeating himself over and over again, as a washed up 83 year old liberal Judge takes himself to be far more important than the implications of his decision.

It is a sad but axiomatic truth, that the greatest wisdom and insights of science are so simple, yet subtle, and so are misconceived as obvious or unimportant, and therefore often fall on the deaf ears of so many stubbornly resistant minds.

.EPA lowers triglycerides and this has been known for decades. I really believe this is what the judges heard and believe. You don't have to tell me how wrong that statement is relative to the patents, but I believe in this instance, that's the mindset AMRN has to overcome.
