DeVos is the tip of the iceberg, the Koch brothers have money in founding those and they and others go back as far as the 70s setting up right wing organizations to influnce...Heritage foundation, Federalist Society, even most of the Opinion players at Fox have ties not to mention Fox news itself..and others that it's too late to track down..The biggie is Citizens United that really changed things money wise..
Without a lot of this or that it all comes down to greed...Those who have influenced are no longer happy with profit beyond dreams, Now it's an all out take over attempt....Trump is a figure head who has no real idea and I'm sure the power players are pissed they have to deal with him....
If one can stomach it catch some Fox, it all out propaganda and the more you see the more you realize how sophisticated they really are..Groups wag Fox, Fox is the tail that wags the dog trump..Fortunately he is dumbass and hopefully enough to get him out come this election...
But you can bet there is more to come, today Biden ramped it up and they will escalate,,,Durham Report coming, contesting the election and probably what ever else it takes....
Could go on but you have it and history is full of authoritarian takeovers,,you need disparity, propaganda and make an enemy to save the people from and even ask those good patriotic people to help you fight against there own interests....

Last,,,Biden and Dems aren't ignorant of what's going on, question is are the smart good guys strong enough and smart enough to beat the smart bad guys....Higher education at its best :) Although the stakes are much higher than simple debate...Democracy and the most powerful country on the planet.......
