Can't really disagree. There will be differences between all the the players. Shashua's approach is necessarily different because he has to deal with existing fleet that want L2-L3 assistance. Imaging radars are already getting out there and you don't have to buy a luxury car to get it. What should be clear is that anybody that's saying their sensor suite is future proof is just being a salesman. I have always wondered why optional tech packages on newer cars are so expensive (5K in our case). Leading edge sensors stay expensive. Will superposition of different sensor types get us to FSD as Shashua suggests repeatedly. Only time will tell. Assume that there will be some update on Tesla's effort at their battery day.
