Silence.

Anyone ask IR if they are working on covid19?

That's not a question anyone at Anavex will give an answer to. Consider. Any sort of answer, no matter how hazy or lucid, would raise all sorts of complicating issues and contentions of untoward result.

Inasmuch as there have been postings showing putative mechanisms by blarcamesine that would reduce the inflammation of a SARS-CoV-2 infection, or perhaps even obviate such an infection, I have no doubt Anavex has begun to acquire the new strains of rats or mice that are subject to this viral infection. Pretty simple after that. Infect the infection-vulnerable murines, then at various dosages and intervals administer blarcamesine. If nothing happens, discard the idea. But if any of the infected, treated lab rats or mice compare favorably to those who were only infected, blarcamesine will be demonstrated to have efficacy against this virus.

But it would not be wise for the company to reveal any of this. Keep it behind locked lab doors. Then, figure out how to someday run a Phase I safety and tolerability trial on a few dozen humans (perhaps in a nursing home, among a vulnerable population). When that trial is applied for, it will be announced. Nothing before that. Too many erroneous or speculative perceptions.

Some would contend that this posting, itself, would be such. Understood.
