To Porgie and Bearspread:

Porgie,

Please advise sir (and or madame), your proof that Israel is on a different Tectonic Plate than the rest of the Middle East? It is actually between the African Plate and the Arabian Plate. So you are somewhat right and somewhat wrong and hence just speculating, and could possibly be just your opinion.

Please let me be of assistance to you in this task.
This link leans towards Israel being on the SAME Tectonic Plate even as small as it is.

this link shows that Israel is between the Arabian and African Plates

The Nile River comment might even be true, or not ...but Rivers sometimes change course and even direction. See link
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_rivers_that_have_reversed_direction

And I did not know this... Satellite imagery actually records a River changing course, which puts your Nile discharging into the Eastern Med Sea over many Millennia theory on the very edge. Please see link:

And possibly (my speculation)....ZION needs the Attorneys to get the T's Crossed and I's dotted on contracts with newly discovered oil.
And that is why ZION bought the new Drilling Rig and the pipeline to the Leviathan discovery. Again Sheer speculation, but BASED ON TRUE FACTS.

Have a great day.

That may be so from a geographic perspective, but it is not so from a geologic perspective.

That's the key. Not too unusual in say Alaska oil can be found, and 20-200 miles away in a geological fold, there's nothing, but a pile of rocks.

What Israel has is "Oil Shale", as in Kerogen. Hydrocarbons which need to be artificially subjected to high temps or cooked to become something close to being light oil. Which needs oil prices in excess of $100/bbl to be economical to process. The US Rockies have tons of Oil Shale, undeveloped, due to being uneconomical. Kerogen has a high API. Which is what the couple of teaspoons detected in the dry hole MJ1 was detected.

Doesn't matter if the Saudis are floating (not quite accurate) on oil. They are sitting on a plate that broke off from Africa millions of yrs ago.
