Question about the Nasdaq Composite Average which broke its record high today: Does that average include its lowest tier, the Capital Markets or the CM?
I haven't found anything answering that question. But the Nasdaq Composite is said to include 2,500 stocks. The top two tiers alone have that many. In any event, the Nasdaq Average is cap weighted so it's utterly dominated by its largest stocks, monsters such as Microsoft, Apple and Amazon.
