Embarrassing your parents is one thing but it only leads to embarrassing yourself. It's the largest problem with kids and social media. After they change their mind and decide to go a different direction it's already too late.
It is a lesson learned. Some kids learn it the hard way by their parents just giving them a phone and ignoring them.
You make some good points. Claudia has famous parents, but she's probably lived a sheltered life till now. Many teen actors have thought celebrity was fun, until it wasn't.
And it can be hard for kids--and some 20somethings, and even older people--to understand that at some time they may be judged for their social media activity.
