I tend to believe Gottlieb, but time will tell. Not everyone who contacts COVID-19 dies from it - he's simply saying 1/2 of the population will have contacted this virus. Reports now indicate the age of those who have contacted COVID-19 has dropped from (expected) older citizens to a younger age group - those who probably feel they're invincible and continue to party on...couple them with the ignorant MAGA gang of all ages who refuse to wear a facial mask/social distance, and it's not hard to imagine what Gottlieb said is accurate.
