You have to look beyond the “right now” and focus on the chess game. D is the future, and may be the whole enchilada. If you find out you hold the key to the future you’re going to proceed in a way to keep the wolves at bay, because they want what you’ve got. They didn’t think of it, but their perception of the power in the situation is being messed with in that emotionally they’re not sure if they’re being bluffed despite knowing intellectually that they are not. NWBO is no longer timid. D may ride in on L and if so goodbye PD-1 inhibitors as a needed ally. At that point it’s more a matter of who NWBO is going to allow to partner to further their capability to produce, market, and distribute?

I think it is likely they have an entirely different plan and approach after having had Duffy working with them, most likely. I would probably not take the larger paragraph there as meaning anything negative at all. As I said previously, it suggests a pragmatic focus actually on lining everything up and not going it alone with production first. I think it sounds like they are being extremely pragmatic and collaborative.
