They are going to have to pay for it though and its not gonna be cheap. What if isrg offers double. What then. Medtronic would have to match it. How much would isrg pay to lock up single port tech for the next 2 decades. Think about that. We are not bound to Medtronic although its most likely. Correct me if im wrong. What happens when we are at fda and eu door step and isrg offers double because they have the most to lose

What if JNJ or ISRG put down $18M after hearing MDT did a licensing deal with Medtronic? The timing was really quick, it had to have already been in the works.

It would make sense that the software being licensed to MDT would be for multi port (Hugo). Anyone who knows anything about robotics, the Hugo unveiling by Medtronic was an embarrassment. Why even show that half baked product? It didn’t make any sense, nor did it look even close to being finished.

Titan will continue to develop single port. Once Sport is ready, perhaps MDT then fully acquires Titan. In order to compete with ISRG, they will need multi port and single port.

Titan owes investors more detail around the license deal with Medtronic.

Yes and No...100% correct Titan needs Medtronic’s financial support but Medtronic would most likely spend double or triple and still not have a decent SP bot if they tried to do it by themselves. Remember ISRG and Titan have the SP patent landscape locked up. They NEED each other and that is why a BO will happen but Mc WILL get paid. I still stand by $16-17 around October 2021. I just wonder if a JNJ will make things more expensive for MDT ??? Think of that bidder in an intense auction that is the “prick” who goes head to head with a serious bidder to ensure it costs more.
