Damn, I hate those facts. What’s worse to me is that apparently he gave up on US-based manufacturing by LiquidMetal. I was so hopeful we would be making things our$elve$.

It makes no sense that we have any staff at HQ unless there is something in the works or he is just an incredibly dull near-billionaire.

the most overlooked fact is lakeforest was a proof of concept/verification of the lqmt process thanks to lugee and the joint 106 alloy.
you need to spend money to prove the process works.

Additional fact: Li recognized the mistake he made of trying to manufacture from a small operation. (Look at the difference in number of machines at LQMT in LF and Yihao plus Eutectix.) Small contracts like the knife, guitar pins, etc. is not the way to bring in significant revenues. Major companies were not going to sign a contract with a company that couldn’t fill their order due to the small size of the operation.

Everyone makes mistakes... especially during the early stages of developing a new type of business. Had Li not recognized the mistake he made and had not changed course as he did, that would have been a major blunder. But he did see it. He did make the necessary changes.

It’s only been a matter of months Since those changes have been made. So to criticize the changes and the lack of new business as a result of those changes is ludicrous.

Sorry these are not facts, but a subjective opinion mixed in with some details about the company.

Let me give you one example:

“Left incompetent people in charge.”

Not everyone on this board agrees with the opinion that the people left in charge are incompetent.

It has already been pointed out many times on this board that Trade wars and Pandemics have greatly set back the progress of this company. The set backs in my opinion have nothing to do with incompetent workers.

This is one example alone shows that the post is not necessarily stating facts about Liquidmetal but a subjective opinion.

Nothing wrong with expressing an opinion, just don’t mislead anyone into thinking it is fact.
