I think he has a pretty professional vetting team. And he isn't rushing. That was McCain's mistake with Palin. He wanted Joe Lieberman, but since Lieberman had, after all, once been a Dem VP nominee, his people thought that wouldn't work.
And so he kept putting off the decision, and at the last minute agreed to take on Palin. Whom he'd only met once, very briefly.
