That is correct -- the science was apparently that at that level of trigs, conversion to LDL-C was unavoidable. All other treatments that cleared trigs without LDL-C increases for less severe trigs ended up being unable to stop the LDL-C increases at hyper trig levels.

That was the point. Literally no "skilled artisan" at the time was saying, "Either DHA or EPA is increasing LDL-C for trigs > 500". They were all saying, "Omega 3's clear trigs like other drugs do, but they can't stop the LDL-C increases for the hypertrig population.
