I watched that video -- it is an interesting perspective but I don't think it explains the virulence of what we are seeing.
If testing was just picking cases out of the pile and shining a light on them, it would be one thing. You could distort perspectives that way, but then the overall macro picture wouldn't really be impacted.
But the macro picture is different. In Italy, hospitals are in fact overwhelmed with cases and "flu-related" deaths are way above normal levels there.
