tbills, you are taking my idea too far. the intention of putting the uwink inset terminal in hotel rooms isn't to try and get peopel to never leave the room but to maximize hotel food service revenue/in room entertainment revenue. can the inset uwink self service terminal increase food/drink revenue 5-10%? will it reduce costs by 1-2%? will it increase in-room entertainment use by kids/adults by 5%? can the terminal be used to highlight services/deals by local businesses, resulting in advertising/sponsorship revenue? for a family on vacation, would displaying local attracations and options and making it simple to purchause tickets through the terminal actually be a benefit to the customer, the hotel, and the local businesses?

Dude, most people don't go on a vacation and pay to stay in a hotel with plans of sitting in their room for hours eating rooom service and playing games set into their room's table. When I go on vacation I usually am in my room just for sleeping and showering.

That idea is ridonk IMO.

Do you really see a family taking a trip to Disney World but saying, "Wait, lets sit in the room and play games and order room service from the screen in our room." I don't

wait to expand on my last post, hotels using uwink inset terminals in the rooms could really be a great way for people to purchase tickets to the local show, purchase event tickets, find out about the local restaurants, and get a feel for what they can do in the area. businesses in the area could really benefit from this. to feature more information beyond simple basic info, they would need to pay the hotel more. for example a local water park could pay a small amount to just get their basica listing, or they could pay a lot more and display video, audio, coupons, special deals, etc.
