Possibly, however there is still some things they can do like provide a "temporary" buffer or loan of 50 billion to speed up release rather than a public and painful trial? I think they will still return 20-50 billion either temporary or permanent...

Perhaps, even likely. Unless forced by the courts. Hopefully Sweeney will maintain her swagger and continue to go to bat for us. I do think she is doing her part in trying to negotiate a settlement.




Evidence? This is just my opinion based solely on who the Defendant in these cases are. The United States Government and Treasury. Know your audience. If you truly believe they are going to give back overpayments, then you don't know your audience.
PS If they did that would be tantamount to an admission. They don't even think what they did was wrong, let alone illegal. They will NEVER settle. They will NEVER return overpayments.
