It's the same criteria as politics. As long as there are donors, the candidates stay in. Once the money dries up, the candidates have to drop out.

Once the borrowing is too costly, after the PPS's have dropped too much to allow for any reasonable equity raises from dilution, the writing will be on the walls.

ACB has killed its shareholders. What will they be saying when there are 2B shares in the O/S?

As long as people make their money available, these companies will take it and keep paying themselves.

Until the creditors are knocking on the door and going to court to be paid, the culling of the herd will be delayed.

So it's a very good thing that MediPharm was the first to go after HEXO.

It leaves me believing they are in a better position to be paid in full, and only lose the future business.

Well, a couple of things. First there certainly is a demand, and the more conservative Est were very close. In regards to overcapacity, everybody jumped into the pool at the same time with the hope they would be the chosen ones. Some will be correct, but many more will not make it. At least to where they thought they would. Read a report short time ago, if the ramp up to the projected sale totals by 2025 are correct, they are already producing that volume rate now {going on last years out put}. If so then all that needs to happen is a reduction of the current players by hopefully 2/3rds.
We’ll see what happens, but if everybody tries to stay in, nobody will get any traction, or at least not enough. Story is still being written and will be for a while. IMO

MACKLIN, SK, Feb. 5, 2020 /PRNewswire/ - 1193269 BC Ltd., doing business as Shelter, is pleased to announce a definitive agreement to acquire Agro Greens Natural Products Ltd. ("Agro Greens.")

Based in Macklin, Saskatchewan, Agro Greens holds standard cultivation and standard processing licences, as well as licences for medical and non-medical cannabis sales. The acquisition of the Saskatchewan facility and its federal licences is a significant expansion of capabilities for Shelter, a BC-based cannabis branding, packaging and product development company.

Through the Agro Greens facility, Shelter has already brought its Wildlife brand of cannabis pre-rolls to market in almost two dozen stores in Saskatchewan. Post-acquisition, Shelter's product development capabilities will encompass every step of bringing cannabis products to Canada's regulated market.

The acquisition and planned expansion are a homecoming of sorts for Shelter's Saskatchewan-born founder and CEO, Mark Hauk. "Acquiring the Agro Greens facility is both a massive leap forward for Shelter, and a sentimental return to my home province," said Hauk, "My journey into cannabis began in Saskatchewan, and I'm proud to bring this business back home to grow."

Shelter plans to expand the Agro Greens facility and operate it as a new division, Shelter Farmstead.
