Lutsenko wanted to get Yovanovitch out of the way, Connolly recalled Kent as saying, and persuaded Giuliani with disinformation that she would also be a problem. Giuliani then persuaded Trump, Connolly said of Kent’s testimony.

“As he said, the consequence was to undermine 28 years of our efforts to promote the rule of law by actually doing something corrupt ourselves,” Connolly said — noting that Kent himself expressed the stakes as such.

To Volcker's testimony.. Note the "Ukraine policy" focused on here is basically Trump's policy.
Trump's quid pro quo to Zelensky was never official government policy. You know that, eh.

Why was no explanation given for Trump's release of the hold on Sept. 11?

The answer to all those we know.

Because the reason the hold was on was that Ukraine held out against Trump's illegal quid pro quo
demand, because Zelensky didn't want to be dragged into interfering with America's 2020 election.
