Shares won't be removed from brokerage accounts for a long time, if ever. They just sit there, worthless. After a few years a few brokerages wipe them out, assuming you have taken the loss, but many don't. They will continue to show them in perpetuity.
But yeah, it is over. The stock is worthless and the equity (common shares) will be cancelled by Delaware shortly, if it hasn't already.
More than likely $BIOAQ will show in everyone's account indefinitely. Search Lyrtech, similar scenario in 2011' -tsx-v Couldn't pay their bills, creditor seized all their assets as payment. Went out of business / bankrupt. The creditor then petitioned the name & reregistered them private. Even the original website is up and running, total slap in the face. They still to this day show a name & a value in my account, even a market value which physically there is no market. They will show indefinitely even though I have a 100% loss....
