Excellemt post...
I can honestly say that the Krill People, ACST, are liars and their lying goes back many years...
Way back..at least seven or eight years ago there was an article published in a Canadian journal of nutrition that purported to show the effect on the lipid profile of people put on Krill Oil...The results were fabulous Krill oil significantly lowered not only Trigs...but also significantly lowered LDL-C...
And this was in six or seven different cohorts...The only trouble was the lipid results were not consistent with the Friedewald Equation which describes the relationship of Total Cholesterol, LDL-C, HDL-C and trigs...
The Friedewald equation has been shown to be highly accurate in thousands of cases..
And in this Krill oil report the errors were always on the side that favored Krill oil...So this was definitely a scam...
Krill oil has no magic effect..Krill Oil, as sold, is in the Triglyceride FFA configuration and its proponents claim it yields higher blood levels because it is better absorbed... A claim the FDA does not agree with..It might be better absorbed in certain situations but the effect is trivial...The other claim is the EPA is better, This is nonsense The Krill get their EPA the same place fish do..from other sources..They don't make any of their own...
Krill Oil is a scam and the people behind it know it...I would not put it beyond them to put up a phony analysis...
As for the market...They know next to nothing,,Look at the late AdCom panel members...Dumber than a fart and they are MDs...Imagine how stupid the general public is...
