PFE – I generally eschew those kinds of allegations, but this could be an exception because the official story does not pass the smell test.

My conspiracy theory is that Pfizer is waiting until the patent protection on Lipitor runs out, then they will start informing the public and the doctors that Cholesterol is good for you as long as the molecules are large, which is what Esperion was all about... Then, voila, a new patent and product to increase our large cholesterol molecules will be issued and Pfizer will start racking the $$'s again...

I suppose we can now put this conspiracy theory to rest.
