The business of estimating future sales is a matter of the constraints you accept. Normally the analysts take a narrow view -- the safe one -- that takes the form of modest percentages of on-label populations in the US only. And if you do that, sure, it's in the $5bn zone I guess.
Is that reasonable or likely though? It's a big world, and this is clearly not just about trigs or CVD.
I have to tip the cap once again to JL, and the systemic inflaMMAtion view. AMRN has not just discovered that EPA helps with CVD risk. They have discovered something more fundamental about how the human body operates.
The chance that all this stuff does is lower CVD risk? In my opinion, that's a VERY small chance! I think originally all they thought plastics were good for was helicopter windshields...
