Consumer electronics!!! From the direct source—liquidmetal itself. this means one of three things.

1. We are working w Apple.
2. 106c is outside of CIP and we are working with another.
3. Both 1 and 2

Why the bad Photoshop on the facility picture? Kind of strange - why not show the actual facility?

And they misspelled Yihao in the URL (yahio). What's with the sloppiness?

I find it interesting they specifically call out “water jetting” as this was something claimed by Asus that they developed to help improve the part cutting process. This tells me that Yihao/LQMT are in cooperation with Asus.

This seems to say CE in US has been negotiated thru all parties at stake.

The realist(pessimist) view..

Liquidmetal is proud to announce our new partnership with Yihao Metal.

This is great, what does the parternership detail? Can we see the agreement or more details? I mean after all, Eontec gave us a awesome worded PLA and we haven't heard from them since. But the market has, wink wink.

There are 40 amorphous metal machines on site, producing 20 million parts annually.

So, what material are they using and how long have they been producing 20million parts annually.

$0.25 a unit at 20million would be $5m in revenue to LQMT - yet, there is no such thing...

Could this be the elusive 106c material?
Could they have their own recipe?

I stand by the idea that CE is CLOSED. However..

They are on track to acquire an IATF 16949 certification by year-end.

Automotive is being worked...somewhere..

This alliance between Liquidmetal and Yihao Metal is lowering the cost of customer projects,

Wait, you said partnership, not alliance... two different business terms...

you can count on us to help you successfully navigate your project from concept to completion—a process made faster as a result of this exciting new partnership

All those projects we couldn't deliver because there wasn't enough capital to put into a scaling mfg facility in LF(not to mention we didn't buy a building with the right infrastructure which went through 2 years of capital), we are ready now to outsource our mfg. to China.

So, is it a partnership or alliance, and what is in it for LQMT per unit or term length. As I said, LQMT USA is a sales firm now selling a hot product market AMM IP; however, that material and processing advancement needs to be protected to protect LQMT USA otherwise these materials/processing become obsolete..

At some point the IP knowledge gets confusing to whom is responsible for advancing such in this "partnership" so how is LQMT USA protected with its IP?

At some point, the confusion will need to be cleared up - a CEO acting on behalf of the LQMT USA division would be sure to do so.

A CEO acting on behalf of both companies, well, at some point it will be easier to just buy the other company...

What does this mean? (From the blog post)

This alliance between Liquidmetal and Yihao Metal is lowering the cost of customer projects, leveraging years of application development experience against an established, high-volume manufacturer.

Is that a reference to Foxconn?
