The Trial Scheduling Conference (TSC) is Jan, 31st though.
You're the one with a very good memory and know the specifics about this whole lawsuit process much better than me.
If a "Pre-trial hearing" is required b4 trial, must come after TSC.
I'm not sure how far will go until settlement, but many, from past experience, think the defense lawyers will follow every possible step and go to or up to trial.
Of course, billing their clients along the way. :-)
