15,000 / 659 = BFN (( B = BIG )) (( N = NUMBER )) (( F = guess ))

$11.9 Billion * BFN == even BIGGER BFN

At a cost of $373,000 per patient that means Gilead paid $11.9 billion for a drug that treated 659 people in 2018.

When put like that... it really doesn't sound like a very smart purchase.
In fact, it sounds rather stupid of Gilead, at least to me.
