Remember The RealReal’s latest sales report? The one that claimed consumers are ditching fast fashion for second-hand luxury goods. Welp, they do not seem to be wrong. Cheap-trendy-teen clothing store, Forever 21, may file for bankruptcy.
Forever 21 is far from the first teen/young adult apparel retailer to consider the walk of shame down bankruptcy lane— it’s starting to look like the cool thing to do at this point.
But Forever 21’s hardships are not only attributed to their $20 sweat-shop-style jeans. They do not have much of an influencer marketing presence, like competitor Fashion Nova, for instance— the kinda stuff that Gen Z’ers, the new generation of teenyboppers, just eat up
