The difference with the analogy is that Mars is a regulated US company that must adhere to the norms of the financial world. Kate and QEDN does not. Just because she should do something as one would expect her to do, doesn't mean anything. She can pretty much fly by the seat of her pants and do what comes to mind. That usually means taking short cuts.
