I disagree with the rhetoric that fuels their disjointed beliefs.

Yeah, you're damn right they have mental issues. Gun fetishization as pushed by the NRA and all the gun porn magazines is a mental issue and goes beyond the 2nd amendment and the right to defend yourself. It's a sickness.
