Acosta made some convincing arguments but I'm still not buying any of it.
Call me cynical but if your best defense is a lot has changed because of the #MeToo people and now we look at victims in a different light he is simply FOS.
These were little girls and Epstein was a sexual predator.
It was a nice touch showing his outrage regarding him being a parent though.
The only reason for the media’s flood-the-zone coverage of Epstein -- 13 years late -- is that they think they’ve found a Trump connection. Oh happy day. (Trump was friendly with Epstein 15 years ago -- before banning him from Mar-a-Lago for life after he hit on a young girl working there.)
I didn't know this until this morning. I knew Alan Dershowitz had represented Epstein in the Acosta plea deal negotiations. But Ken Starr (yeah that Ken Starr) was also part of the team that worked the deal.
Now why would Ken Starr, of all people, want to help throw the covers over a scandal that could potentially involve Bill Clinton unless perhaps there was an excessive amount of unwanted "collateral damage" that could come if such things were aired out in open court?
"Along with Dershowitz, Starr was also listed as a recipient of emails from Florida prosecutors discussing withholding the terms of the plea agreement from Epstein’s alleged victims."
This all needs to be gotten down to the bottom of.
