Cummings was talking about treatments that are available to him and his patients TODAY, and what he currently Rx's his patients. He commented "he is excited to have have Alz modifying drugs and that there is great emphasis on the drug development pipeline for these drugs, but they are several years away". Spin it your way, but I advise everyone here to watch the video for themselves. His body language alone is telling.
The biggest takeaway for me was his defense of current treatments, and the SOC because it allows him to "manage" symptoms and that doing so is better than doing nothing. Quite frankly, this is unacceptable and offers a glimpse of the opportunity Anavex has to "limp" over the LOW bar that is SOC.
Encouraging to me as an Anavex shareholder to hear him defend the current SOC.
The guy has his hands tied so he is dealing with that at present.
