Tax implication may be the reason. I dont know if you have ever recieved ISO's but the tax law is that in the year that you exercise, you have to pay AMT tax on the diff between exercise price, whether you sell the stock or not. For tax purposes it would be better to exercise at the beginning of a year, get capital gain status by holding a year and then sell at least enough to pay the tax.

The value of the option is the leverage over time, and the expiration date is the preeminent motivating factor in exercising the option. To me, it is not unusual at all that these would not be exercised, rather, it would be unusual if they were...

If options (with plenty of time left) were exercised for the purpose of then selling the stock at market, that would be a very bearish indicator of that person or entity's view of the future stock price of NTRP... Perhaps people might take some off the table following a significant run, but we are not in that position yet...
