Far as I know, the Brits don't embrace the crazy American "ethic" that would have everyone up before dawn so they can work out and arrive at work at seven.
I have a British friend who's a naturally early riser--he wakes up around five--and he tells me he feels lonely because other people don't get up for a couple more hours, and the rare ones who do are usually in a bad mood and don't want to talk.
