The common shares will be cancelled upon the conclusion of the Chapter 7 bankruptcy. That is the law.

Since so many individual investors do not understand how bankruptcy works, there is always trading in the stock up to the last second that the stock is cancelled. Witness Kodak - the stock actually traded UP both on the day after the bankruptcy court actually cancelled the stock, and the next day when FINRA announced the ticker would be permanently deleted at the close.

So the price action on this stock is no surprise at all. It is par for the course. But the lack of volume attests that most people now do understand the common shares have no value and will be cancelled.
