I do not know about deserve going to zero but I think management has to be held accountable. For me, they had an opportunity to do the right thing after the first crash, instead they blamed the pilots. Even that, they got away with it and if they would have put full effort into getting the software fixed, the second plane would not have crashed. Just my opinion
Regardless, I will look to renew my short on any bounce because I still do not think all of the bad news has been priced in. Earnings are in two weeks and I think that will disappoint but who knows. What I do think is the planes will stay grounded longer than people think. Even if the FAA passes approves the plane for passenger flight, you still have China, Canada and EU (EASA) that will do their own review. What are the chances that they will approve the plane to fly in an expedited fashion.
I also believe that even when the planes pass review by the FAA, they will either be half full or airlines will have to reduce ticket prices to get people to fly on them. I also think, the longer this thing goes on, the more fear it will build in flyers. Again, all just my opinion.
