Yeah, I've read those stories. But it's not entirely accurate to say that proper procedures were followed, as no where in the proper procedures does it say to turn the electric stab trim cutout switches back on.
I feel for the pilots struggling with little time to get that huge airliner under control....Most likely knowing all the way down, they probably wouldn't make it, but still trying...Thankfully it happened quickly...
