Not if the medicines are safe and can do the job more quickly.

Getting a demented elder to follow a strict regimen is as difficult as getting a two year old down for a nap.

It isn't going to happen in managed care facilities that now over prescribe for the sake of lower labor cost.

I have little doubt that a healthy diet with amble vegs free of pesticides and all sorts of additives, much less sugar and artificial sweeteners, daily exercise, no pollution and no over medications would be preferable.

Now how do we achieve that globally without any form of regulation, incentives and even penalising those who do not comply?

Maybe global warming will get rid of most of these problems before we humans figure out how to live smarter.
