This fact must result in needless death at some level due to the unmitigated fall out -- misdirection, delay, etc. At what point is there culpability for cheating in scientific reviews. Real culpability?



In an interview with New Scientist, Dr Smith, the former editor of the BMJ who wrote the second book in my previous post, argued for criminalisation of research fraud. Since it’s fraud and leads to a lot of serious results in terms of suffering and death, his proposal seems worth pursuing.
