Exactly. I think a lot of people do say they've called the TA--or the company--when they haven't.

And no TA I've ever talked to seemed too busy. They either explain that the company won't let them give out information, or give you the information, which they usually have at their fingertips. Some ask you to email them, presumably because they keep records, but they get back to you pretty quickly.
