I just took a look at the trial entry. They are not checking sPDGFb. They are checking Abeta40 and 42 and tau these are established bio markers though sPDGFRb May be an earlier marker. They also check neurofilament light chain which can be a treatment biomarker in several Neuro diseases. A serum NFL test is being developed. BACE1 is an amyloid processing protein and has been targeted in some studies. I needed to look up YKL40 which seems to be a marker of inflammation and has been found to be elevated in Early AD and further in established disease. Unfortunately it is not elevated in prodromal AD as the new marker appears to be. Anavex will likely freeze away the CSF and sPDGFRb could be assessed with a protocol amendment ( and that may not be needed depended on how the ICF was worded.
