Dale C: I don't know. As a Vietnam Era Vet I still think about all the good buddies I lost in that damn war. It still hurts. I can hold my head high now, when the past I could not. I live with in 10 miles of Fort Hood home to 1st cav. I see all the young men & women on base & I know I might not see them again next month or next year. There is a Vet cem. near me and filling up fast. Too just call it quits I just don't know.
apparently there never is nor ever will be a good time to call it quits.
I served from 1965 to 1969. This story sounds kind of familiar. Except for liberal protestors in the streets and soldiers being spit on. Not there yet I guess, or have liberals become "Hawks".
