There's a lot to unpack in that comment. Under more capable management the company and shareholders would be further along, at least in terms of the financial stability and market value of NWBO.
As far as investing her own money, it's also important to remember that she also receives a substantial salary for being a CEO, while also presumably a fee as a fund management - there's not much transparency in how much is also paid to Toucan, but based on SG&A expenses the amount appears to be substantial. (As an aside, the shares that Linda has control may not be actually owned by her, but rather shares she has dispositive control.)
When it comes to current management I would say its better to be lucky than good, because that's the only way we'll receive any respectable return.

She invested a lot of her money significant holding in the Company indicative of how confident she is about the efficacy of the trial. And her holding is the only reason, imo, shorts are not winning bking the Company.
